US Launches Syria Strikes: Backlash Erupts!

In a dramatic escalation of military action, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) launched precision airstrikes in central Syria this past Sunday. The operation targeted over 75 ISIS camps and key operatives, marking a decisive move against the resurgence of the terrorist group. Using an arsenal that included B-52 bombers, F-15 fighter jets, and A-10 aircraft, the strikes underscored a renewed U.S. focus on counterterrorism.

President Joe Biden framed the strikes as a necessary response to the potential collapse of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime. Biden called the situation both “a moment of risk” and “a historic opportunity” for Syria, emphasizing humanitarian aid as a cornerstone of the U.S. response. “It’s a moment of historic opportunity for the long-suffering people of Syria, to build a better future for their proud country,” Biden said, while also pledging continued vigilance against ISIS.
