The United States has committed to reducing emissions from air conditioners and refrigerators, under the direction of climate envoy John Kerry.

Kerry continues to advocate for the working class to forgo basic home comforts despite living an opulent, jet-setting lifestyle.

“On Tuesday, 63 nations, including the United States, joined a pledge to cut down cooling-related emissions at the COP28 United Nations climate summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates,” The Epoch Times reports.

“The Global Cooling Pledge requires countries to reduce such emissions by at least 68 percent by 2050 compared to 2022 levels,” the outlet added.

The Biden administration, in an attempt to project superiority, continues to blame home appliances for “climate change” in the absence of supporting data.

Hardworking Americans’ quality of life is harmed by this unwarranted fear.

According to The Epoch Times:

The Pledge targets appliances like air conditioners and refrigerators in an effort to reduce emissions related to cooling. It also suggests setting minimum energy performance requirements for these appliances by 2030.

“We want to lay out a pathway to reduce cooling-related emissions across all sectors but increase access to sustainable cooling,” said Mr. Kerry, who joined representatives from other countries in the pledge, Reuters reported.

“John Kerry lost his run for president & has been trying to assert his revenge on everyday Americans ever since. If he gets his way, our cars, our appliances, and food will be gone. All from a man who flies around on his wife’s private jet,” Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) said.

Fox Business additionally stated:

According to the non-profit Clean Cooling Collaborative, emissions from refrigerants and energy used for cooling currently make up 7% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and as temperatures rise, they are predicted to triple by 2050.

Kerry and other conference attendees contend that as the earth warms, more people will use air conditioners, which will increase emissions. According to UN research, installed capacity is expected to triple by the middle of the century due to rising temperatures, expanding populations, and rising incomes.

“For one hundred dollars, people will purchase an inexpensive air conditioner made in Asia and turn it on,” stated Jürgen Fischer, president of climate solutions at the multinational Danish heating and cooling company Danfoss.

“That will load the energy system a lot, and there will be a collapse. I don’t think it’s a good idea to allow these individual plug-ins anymore,” he said.

If John Kerry is sincere about keeping his word, he could demonstrate his dedication by being the first to give up his air conditioner, refrigerator, and private jet travel.
