A 12-year-old Indiana girl, Adaline Deal, has been denied a critical heart transplant because she is unvaccinated against COVID-19 and the flu. Despite her dire medical condition, doctors at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital have refused to place her on the transplant list, citing her lack of vaccination as the reason.
Adaline, a distant relative of Vice President J.D. Vance, has been battling two rare heart conditions, Ebstein’s anomaly and Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. According to her parents, the hospital’s decision came after they disclosed that their entire family refrains from vaccinations due to deeply held religious beliefs.

Adaline’s mother, Janeen Deal, expressed her shock and disappointment at the hospital’s stance. “I thought, wow. So, it’s not about the kid. It’s not about saving her life,” she told the New York Post. Janeen and her husband are unwavering in their refusal of vaccines, stating that “the Holy Spirit put it on our hearts.”
