Jacob Chansley: “Hold on… Donald Trump, quote, I am asking for everyone in the US Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence. Remember, we are the party of law and Order. Respect our law enforcement. … There’s a video.”
This video was not included in Chansley’s trial, nor were any others. After entering the US Capitol, asking for permission from the police, following them around the building, praying in the US Senate chamber, and reading President Trump’s tweet promoting peace before leaving, the resident of Arizona was sentenced to 41 months in prison.
The DC Courts sentenced Chansley to 41 months in federal prison.
