A disturbing scene unfolded in Philadelphia this week, where a group of radical activists openly celebrated the deaths of American service members during a public demonstration near City Hall. The incident, captured on video, has ignited fierce backlash as critics warn that anti-American rhetoric is reaching dangerous new levels in one of the nation’s most historic cities.
The gathering drew a mix of far-left demonstrators and individuals voicing support for Islamist-aligned causes. Protesters were seen burning American flags while waving banners and flags associated with foreign movements. Signs carried by participants included inflammatory slogans such as “Amerikkka is the head of the snake” and “Right to resist, right to return,” further intensifying concerns about the tone and intent of the demonstration.
Footage recorded by independent journalist Frank Scales documented some of the most shocking moments of the rally. In one clip, a masked speaker dressed in a red hoodie addressed the crowd using a bullhorn, delivering remarks that stunned viewers and drew applause from those gathered.
“Until we have done everything in our power to bring the United States to its knees, let us not lose sight of the enemy. For every U.S. military base that crumbles, and for every U.S. soldier who returns home in a casket, we cheer!” the unidentified individual shouted.
