Much of the establishment media chatter is swirling around California Governor Gavin Newsom. Glossy, smooth-talking, and camera-ready, Newsom checks the superficial boxes Democrats once cared about.
In a transparent attempt to reposition himself, Newsom recently launched a podcast featuring Trump supporters like Charlie Kirk and even dabbled in suggesting some moderation on transgender athletes in women’s sports.
But Tucker Carlson isn’t buying it.
Appearing on Megyn Kelly’s show, Carlson made it clear that Newsom doesn’t stand a chance.
“So you don’t see him [Newsom] as the Dems’ great white hope from California for 2028?” Kelly asked.
Carlson’s response was blunt: Newsom’s problem isn’t his failed leadership — it’s his skin color.
Carlson laid it out without hesitation.
“He’s pretty White. I mean, it’s the anti-White party, like they hate White people, they’ve been systematically disenfranchising White people from the country they were born in. They say it out loud, that’s what diversity is, it’s everybody but White men, so I’m not whining about it, I’m just noticing that — much more comprehensive than Jim Crow ever was,” Carlson explained.
In other words, the Democrat Party of 2028 isn’t looking for another white candidate. They’ve turned their backs on the very people who built this country, and they’re not shy about it anymore.
Even Newsom’s disastrous track record — Californians fleeing in droves, historic Congressional seat losses during the 2020 Census — wouldn’t be enough to sink him. In today’s Democrat Party, being white is the ultimate disqualifier.
Carlson went even further, predicting Democrats might try to elevate a radical like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez instead.
“And so for the party that did that, that set up this, this Jim Crow system, anti-White system, to nominate another White guy, I mean maybe! But I think they’d be much happier with AOC,” Carlson said.
Yet even as he floated the idea, Carlson admitted he doesn’t see AOC as a serious contender — pointing to her far-left ideology and immaturity.

“I don’t take her that seriously, I’m not really sure what I think,” Carlson said, suggesting instead that a “dark horse” candidate with “native talent” would likely emerge out of nowhere to capture the nomination.
Carlson’s warning echoes concerns raised by Tulsi Gabbard when she walked away from the Democratic Party in 2022. At the time, Gabbard slammed the Left’s growing anti-white bigotry as a core reason for her departure.
And Democrats are already paying the price for their racial pandering.
Back in 2020, the only reason many left-wing voters tolerated Joe Biden was because he promised to pick a black woman as his running mate. That disastrous decision handed the party Kamala Harris — a deeply unpopular politician who ultimately sunk their chances in 2024.
Now, stuck with Harris and unable to replace her without alienating their own radical base, Democrats are boxed into a corner of their own making.
As Democrats plot their next move, it’s clear they aren’t learning from their mistakes. Instead of focusing on real solutions, they’re digging deeper into the toxic identity politics that destroyed them in 2024.
Tucker Carlson’s message is clear: the Democrats of 2028 won’t just embrace radicalism — they’ll wage an open war on white Americans, all in the name of “equity” and “diversity.”
