President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center has once again ignited a wave of online speculation from critics eager to question the president’s health — despite the White House making clear the appointment has been planned for months.
According to administration officials, Trump is scheduled to travel to Walter Reed on Tuesday for what the White House described as a standard medical and dental evaluation. The visit is part of the routine preventive care presidents regularly receive while serving in office.
But that explanation did little to stop liberal social media personalities and anti-Trump commentators from spreading rumors online Monday night. A number of left-wing accounts falsely suggested the president had been “rushed” to Walter Reed for an undisclosed medical emergency, fueling yet another round of speculation surrounding Trump’s health.
There is currently no evidence supporting those claims.
