Trump’s VP Surprise: Is RFK Jr. The One?

In the general election, former President Donald Trump has not ruled out the prospect of choosing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his running mate. The New York Post said that the former president approached Kennedy with “preliminary overtures” to see whether he was interested in the proposal.

“Trump operatives expressed an interest in Kennedy early on, but it was all premature,” An unnamed insider in Trump’s inner circle informed the publication. According to the insider, Trump’s team made contact with Kennedy’s White House campaign as early as April 2023.

“Anything’s possible. I wouldn’t write it off by any means,” the source added.

According to a significant supporter to both the Trump and Kennedy campaigns, there is still considerable effort being made to enlist Kennedy as Trump’s vice president.

“It’s very much behind the scenes at this stage. As we progress you might see it bubble up a little bit more,” the donor said. “Bobby can bring new people to the polls.”

Kennedy, 70, began his presidential campaign as a Democrat last year. Even though Biden was polling regularly between 15 and 20 percent, the Democratic National Committee decided to forgo any debates or primary election activities, therefore announcing Biden as the party’s nominee.

Kennedy unexpectedly decides to run as an independent for president.

Pundits have long been intrigued by a Trump-Kennedy ticket because of the potential for cross-party appeal. Even while many in the corporate media and Democratic elite have labeled Kennedy as a “conspiracy theorist” and a “anti-vaxxer,” a number of well-known liberals, like former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, have endorsed his campaign.

Kennedy had said he wouldn’t take the job, but is he now willing to accept it? In the past, they have lauded each other despite their political disagreements.

  1. I would welcome RFK to the position and ask trump to give him the respect he deserves.I supported Jack Kennedy and also voted for trump twice. I believe that
Trump doesn’t need to keep the tuff guy rhetoric any more and together they will
give and take to get the huge job done to redirect this country
