For years, President Donald Trump warned that America was being taken advantage of by its so called allies. During his first term, Trump repeatedly blasted NATO members for refusing to pay their fair share while relying on U.S. taxpayers to fund their defense.

Now, one congressman is taking that frustration and turning it into legislation.
And Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie has introduced a bill that could finally force a reckoning for NATO.
Massie Introduces Legislation to End U.S. Membership in NATO
On Tuesday, Rep. Thomas Massie formally introduced legislation that would withdraw the United States from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization altogether.
The proposal is blunt, aggressive, and designed to end what Massie sees as decades of unfair financial and military burden placed on American citizens.
