Again, it appears that former President Donald Trump is aware of what the majority of Americans consider to be important.
Trump made stopping illegal immigration a top priority when he announced his 2015 presidential campaign, and this helped make it successful. He said in 2020 that his actions had resulted in historic lows in illegal immigration, underscoring the achievement of this commitment.

President Joe Biden quickly reversed almost all of Trump’s immigration and border security plans following his defeat. Republicans and an increasing number of Democrats blame these reversals for the present state of chaos at the southwest border. As a result, this election season, the majority of Americans are far more concerned about illegal immigration, particularly in light of the almost 8 million individuals who have entered the country over the previous three years.
“Significantly more Americans name immigration as the most important problem facing the U.S. (28%) than did a month ago (20%). Immigration has now passed the government as the most often cited problem, after the two issues tied for the top position the past two months. The government ranked first each month from January through November 2023,” the polling company Gallup mentioned in a study that was released this week.
