Americans are getting a rare break at the pharmacy counter.
Prescription drug prices posted their largest year-over-year decline in more than 60 years in July, according to newly released federal data — giving President Donald Trump’s administration a powerful economic victory to highlight as it continues its campaign to drive down the cost of medicines.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, prescription drug prices dropped 3.1% over the 12 months ending in July. That represents the steepest annual decline since March 1963.
