The freshly released Consumer Price Index (CPI) report has delivered a major blow to the doom-and-gloom predictions from the left. Inflation declined, not surged. The data stands in direct opposition to the narrative Democrats have been screaming from the rooftops for the past year.
Let’s rewind. Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer and others loudly claimed that tariffs would “jack up prices by as much as $1,200 a year for families.” Media pundits pushed apocalyptic forecasts, warning Americans about exploding grocery bills and gas prices. The fearmongering was intense—but now, reality has come knocking.
Even ABC News, hardly a conservative outlet, admitted the truth: “Inflation eased in April, with the CPI showing a year-over-year rate of just 2.3 percent compared to a year ago.” And yes, that’s with Trump’s tariffs still standing strong.
