Trump reposted the report from Just the News on Truth Social without adding his own commentary. Still, the decision to amplify the story quickly fueled fresh speculation about whether the federal government is actively examining allegations involving Omar’s immigration history and past marriage.
According to the report, Immigration and Customs Enforcement declined to release documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act concerning any investigation into allegations of immigration fraud involving Omar. The agency cited a federal exemption that allows law-enforcement records to remain confidential when their release could interfere with an investigation or enforcement action.
