Donald Trump, a former president, thinks that a few of the 2024 presidential hopefuls would make excellent additions to his cabinet if he were to win the Republican nomination.
President Trump disclosed a potential vice presidential candidate during an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures.

Trump was asked about his prospective picks for running mates in a hypothetical presidential candidacy during an interview with Maria Bartiromo.
“You have some very talented people. I’ve been impressed with some of them. Some of them I am very friendly with, actually. A number of them called me up, not for permission, but sort of, to say they’d like to do it,” Trump said. “I think you have good people, good potential cabinet members, too.”
Regarding negotiations with prospective cabinet officials as well as his potential running mate selections, Donald Trump has remained mum. He was explicitly questioned about Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), who is running for president, during an interview with Maria Bartiromo.
“Tim is very good. I could see Tim doing something with the administration, but he’s in right now campaigning,” he said. “But Tim is a talented guy and you have other very talented people.”
Recent polls examined by RealClearPolitics show that Trump is regularly in the lead with a strong average of 53%. Ron DeSantis, the governor, comes in second place with a strong 20.6% of the vote.
Other GOP contenders, such as former vice president Mike Pence, former governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley, senator from South Carolina Tim Scott, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, are behind with scant support in surveys, falling short of the ten percent threshold.
If Trump wins the nomination, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis makes it clear that he has no interest in serving as Trump’s running mate in the 2024 race.

“I’m not a No. 2 guy,” In answer to a query on the Wisconsin Right Now podcast, DeSantis remarked. “I think I’m a leader. Governor of Florida, I’ve been able to accomplish a lot. I think I probably could do more staying there than being VP, which doesn’t really have any authority.”
In reaction to DeSantis’s remarks, Steven Cheung, a spokesman for Trump, instantly disavows the idea that DeSantis may serve as his running mate.
“Ron DeSantis isn’t anybody’s guy. He’s not ‘the guy.’ He’s just ‘a guy,’” Cheung said. “Ron is just there, sullen and sad, because his numbers are as tiny as him.”
If Trump chooses someone who would be a great next President in 2028, our nation could be in good hands for 8-12 years. A presidential hopeful who is talented & smart could learn a lot from Trump.
