The Biden administration may be turning a blind eye, but former President Donald Trump is taking action. Trump announced an end to U.S. federal funding for South Africa in response to the government’s escalating persecution of white farmers. In a move that sent shockwaves worldwide, Trump also declared that persecuted farmers and their families will be fast-tracked for U.S. citizenship.

South Africa has been making headlines lately, in part due to Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and a former South African resident. Musk has been exposing the brutal reality of farm attacks and government-sanctioned land confiscations on his social media platform, X. However, for speaking out, the South African government has effectively blackballed Musk—banning Starlink from operating in the country simply because, as he put it, “I’m not Black.”

A resurfaced video of Julius Malema, the radical leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), shows him advocating for the seizure of land, assets, and wealth from white farmers. Malema makes it clear that resistance is futile. “We will expropriate without compensation whether they (white Afrikaners) like it or not. If they object, they can seek refuge in America.”
