President Donald Trump signaled Tuesday that a major military operation against a key Iranian nuclear-related site could be imminent, delivering some of his strongest comments yet regarding Tehran’s alleged underground activities.
Speaking with reporters, Trump indicated that the United States is preparing to strike Pickaxe Mountain, a heavily fortified location near Iran’s Natanz nuclear complex that Israeli intelligence reportedly believes has become a hub for renewed nuclear development efforts.
The remarks come amid growing concerns from both U.S. and Israeli officials that Iran may be attempting to shield sensitive nuclear equipment deep beneath layers of rock and reinforced underground facilities.
