Trump Pushes Milk, Dems Go Wild

In a move praised by parents and farmers alike, schools across the nation can now offer whole milk to students again—thanks to a decision by the Trump administration. Yet some Democratic lawmakers are framing this simple nutritional choice as a political weapon.

Last month, the Department of Agriculture officially announced that schools participating in the National School Lunch Program could reintroduce whole milk. The change affects approximately 30 million students nationwide.

“Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, whole milk is back — and it’s the right move for kids, for parents, and for America’s dairy farmers,” Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said at the time.

She added, “This bipartisan solution to school meals alongside the newly released Dietary Guidelines for Americans reinforces what families already know: nutrient dense foods like whole milk are an important part of a healthy diet.”
