President Donald Trump is turning up the pressure on Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar after a federal court document surfaced identifying the Minnesota congresswoman under another name, reigniting longstanding questions about her immigration history and personal background.
The controversy erupted after an October 21 Justice Department filing reportedly referred to Omar as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.”
For Trump, the disclosure provided fresh ammunition in a political feud that has stretched across multiple election cycles.
