President Donald Trump is reportedly considering whether the United States should carry out another round of military strikes against Iran, even as his administration continues diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving concerns over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Trump has held private discussions in recent days with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Gen. Dan Caine regarding potential military options. Those conversations reportedly examined the possibility of further strikes, with some administration officials describing the objective as “finishing the job.”
Despite those discussions, the president is also said to be weighing the diplomatic consequences of additional military action. A larger operation against Iran could complicate or even derail ongoing negotiations focused on limiting or dismantling Iran’s nuclear program.
