President Donald Trump is once again shaking up the political world, this time with a hint at a never-before-seen strategy for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. On Thursday, Trump suggested he may push for a full-scale Republican National Convention to be held right before voters head to the polls — a move that could dramatically boost GOP momentum.
Trump took to Truth Social to celebrate the party’s current success while calling out the failures of Joe Biden’s administration. In his post, Trump left no doubt about where the GOP stands heading into the next election cycle.
“The Republican Party is doing really well. Millions of people have joined us in our quest to MAKE AMERICA, GREAT AGAIN. We won every aspect of the Presidential Election and, based on the great success we are having, are poised to WIN BIG IN THE MIDTERMS,” Trump wrote.
