While D.C. insiders float the idea of more military entanglements, Trump is repeating a singular and unflinching message: Iran must never obtain the world’s deadliest weapons. In fact, Trump has made that crystal clear more than 55 times—both as president and as a candidate.
“Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. It’s very simple — you don’t have to go too deep into it. They just can’t have a nuclear weapon,” Trump stated on June 17.
