For decades, Vladimir Putin has played world leaders like a fiddle — charming them with diplomatic niceties while simultaneously launching military assaults. But this week, former President Donald Trump blew the lid off the Russian leader’s duplicitous games, sending shockwaves through NATO and the Washington foreign policy elite.
Speaking during a White House meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump gave a blunt assessment of his interactions with Putin — one that likely left globalists and D.C. insiders rattled.
“I speak to him — a lot — about getting this thing done. And I always hang up and say, ‘Well, that was a nice phone call,’ and then missiles are launched into Kiev and some other city. And I say, ‘Isn’t that strange.’ And after that happens three or four times, you say, the talk doesn’t mean anything,” Trump told reporters.
Trump didn’t sugarcoat the reality: Putin’s pleasant phone calls were followed by deadly missile strikes — a pattern so consistent it became impossible to ignore. The former president said even the First Lady noticed the contradiction.
