President Trump appears ready to take America’s policy toward Venezuela in a dramatically new direction, telling reporters that he has “sort of made up” his mind after a week packed with closed-door briefings alongside top military brass. The comment, delivered aboard Air Force One, immediately fueled speculation about what Washington may be preparing.
“I sort of made up my mind,” Trump said when pressed about Venezuela. “I can’t tell you what it is, but we made a lot of progress with Venezuela in terms of stopping drugs from pouring in.”
