President Donald Trump has officially declined CNN’s invitation for a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, scheduled for October 23, citing concerns over fairness and timing as key reasons. Trump addressed the issue at a campaign rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, making it clear that he sees no benefit to a second debate with Harris, especially with voting already underway.

During his rally, Trump noted, “Kamala and her group have seen what is happening to their campaign, and it’s not going well for them.” The crowd responded with groans as Trump highlighted that Harris’s campaign is struggling. Trump suggested Harris is seeking the debate to regain momentum, but he isn’t interested in entertaining that. He continued, “It was announced just a little while ago that they would like to do another debate.”

He pointed out, “Voting has already started,” emphasizing that a third debate at this stage would have minimal impact on the electorate.
