Fast forward to late February, and that same mayor was standing inside the Oval Office — smiling beside President Trump and presenting him with a custom-made newspaper prop designed to cast the president as New York’s savior.
Now, he wants $21 billion in federal funding.

Zohran Mamdani quietly made his second visit to the White House on February 26. The trip was not listed on his public calendar. In fact, it remained undisclosed until journalists discovered he was already on his way to Washington.
