“Well, remember just a couple of weeks ago, AOC went on social media saying if we put a finger on any of her coworkers, Congress people that were at our Newark facility, there’d be consequences. Well, guess what? We did it. I’m waiting on the consequences,” Homan said bluntly.
Nashville Mayor in the Crosshairs
At the heart of the latest controversy is Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell, who ordered local law enforcement to hand over internal communications with ICE and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for a so-called “Belonging Fund” aimed at supporting illegal aliens in the area.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham called out the mayor’s actions:
“Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised for the Belonging Fund, which is cash for illegal aliens. And it’s all supported by the Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell,” she said. “Now, this started after ICE teamed up with Tennessee Highway Patrol to nab more than 200 illegals, including a convicted child sex offender and a member of Tren de Aragua, nice people.”
Multiple congressional committees are now probing Nashville’s apparent interference with federal immigration enforcement—accusations that could lead to legal consequences for those involved in aiding illegal activity.
Ingraham pressed Homan about leftist backlash, asking how he responds to those accusing ICE of targeting local officials for doing their “local business.”
Homan Draws a Line in the Sand
Homan wasn’t buying the spin. He reminded viewers that not long ago, Ocasio-Cortez herself issued a public threat after ICE moved on Democrat lawmakers interfering at a detention center. That threat turned out to be toothless.
Representative LaMonica McIver, one of the Democrats involved, was later charged for allegedly assaulting ICE agents during a confrontation—actions caught on bodycam footage.
“But, you know, mayors are no different,” Homan continued. “Look, I’ve said from day one, you can not cooperate with us if that’s what you want to do, but you can’t get in our way and you can’t impede our effort, or you cross that line, we will seek prosecution.”
“Flood the Zone”: Homan Unleashes Federal Power
In one of the most powerful moments of the interview, Homan warned that federal agencies will respond with full force if local officials interfere.
“We’re gonna flood the zone with agents, multi-agency, FBI, DEA, ICE, US Marshals,” he declared. “And we’re going to flood the zone. If he wants to push back and support sanctuary cities, that means we flood the zone. We’ll flood the zone in the neighborhood to find the bad guy. We’ll flood the zone at work sites to find a bad guy, but we’re gonna do it, and he’s not gonna stop us.”
The message couldn’t be clearer: The Trump administration will not allow Democrat politicians to stand in the way of immigration enforcement, and they’re willing to deploy every federal tool at their disposal to make sure the law is upheld.
Ocasio-Cortez’s fiery threats, meant to intimidate, have fizzled under the weight of federal resolve. And for Homan, actions will always speak louder than hashtags.
