You must view this.

Being in the center of Times Square in New York City during the special Christmas display and celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ was an incredible sight.

As I looked up, I saw heartwarming displays of giving machines, powerful images of the Savior, beautiful nativity scenes, and the iconic #LightTheWorld logo glowing on digital billboards in this unique location. It was a magnificent start to the Christmas season.

We are appreciative of the numerous charities and interfaith leaders who collaborate with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to assist the underprivileged. We want the peace that comes from following Jesus Christ to be known by everyone.

The world’s light is Jesus Christ. This Christmas season, let us try to light the world and spread the light of Christ in our own little ways, following Him in the process.

Jesus Christ is featured in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ exhibit in Times Square. Even though there are many aspects of Mormon theology that I disagree with, I respect their efforts to place Jesus Christ in such a prominent position.

From The Church News, here are some additional details:

As the evening holiday crowds gathered in Times Square on Monday, Nov. 27, the famous digital billboards abruptly went dark.

Experience the amazing events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ along with a passionate appeal to light up the world. Come celebrate Christmas with us as we shine our own lights to spread the light of Christ.

Suddenly, a huge star materialized on the conspicuous placard at the center of the square.

The crowds in the noisy, busy place subsided as the procedure went on.

It was remarkable to see people pause and pay attention in an area where many ignore the advertisements, according to Cameron Kelly. There was a lot of love in the message. It felt incredible to see representations of the Nativity and the universe’s center.

He went on, “It’s easy to get sucked into little things.” Thus, it gave me hope to see something eternal and significant in this area.

The 30-minute Times Square Nativity display was a component of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Light the World campaign. The Nativity, stars, the Light the World logo, and the logos of numerous nonprofit organizations collaborating with the Church on the campaign were all displayed on the digital billboards. The global launch of the 2023 Light the World Giving Machines campaign earlier in the day was preceded by the billboard takeover.

Nasario Martin, a Guatemalan evangelical Christian, was astounded to see the Nativity reflected in Times Square. Taking out his cellphone, he began to record.

He remarked, “I have never seen Jesus Christ in such a place before,” alluding to the significance of the message as the Christmas season approaches.

““There are no words,” added Denika Torres. “It was magical.”
