Call of Duty censured popular video game streamer Nicholas Kolcheff (also known as Nickmercs) last Thursday for opposing the promotion of LGBT ideology towards children. His operator bundle was consequently taken out of Warzone and Modern Warfare II, two of the game’s most well-known iterations. In the midst of this debate, Nickmercs urged people to “let young children be.”
Activision gave Nickmercs, a well-known YouTube content producer with over 4 million members, his own special operator skin. However, the bundle was suddenly taken off the market by the game developer. This choice was made in response to Nickmercs’ comments on recent arguments between supporters of parental rights and far-left campaigners over LGBT education in California schools.

“They should leave little children alone. That’s the real issue,” the streamer said.
In light of recent developments, Call of Duty has removed Nickmercs’ Spartan skin. The Modern Warfare II and Warzone store no longer has the “NICKMERCS Operator” bundle. The tweet-based message highlights the company’s emphasis on celebrating PRIDE with its workforce and community.
Kolcheff confirmed his previous remarks about a contentious incident in a video message. He reiterated his position and made it clear that his statements were not motivated by hatred. In order to make his point against the behavior, Kolcheff shared a terrible tweet that showed parents fighting in front of a school while young children were there.
“I just don’t think it’s any place for a teacher or a school, I don’t think it’s the place to speak about things like that,” he went on to say. “It’s not that I think that it shouldn’t be spoken about, and if that’s what you got from that tweet, you’re just wrong … It wasn’t an ‘anti-gay’ tweet, that wasn’t what it was.”
Support for Nickmercs comes from other streamers, including Dr. DisRespect, who has more than 4.35 million YouTube subscribers.
By uninstalling the game and refusing to support the franchise until they apologize to Kolcheff or change their mind, the well-known YouTuber made a clear statement. Dr. DisRespect recently stressed the seriousness of the situation and encouraged his followers to stand with him. Even though he admitted that this year’s Call of Duty game is the poorest in the series, he blamed the PR and marketing team and challenged spectators to take action.
“I’ll tell ya right now man, that’s a tough one, that’s a tough one to digest… I feel like they need to publicly apologize to him or reinstate his bundle, in order for me to consider playing Call of Duty again,” he continued. “That’s where I’m at.”
