Most Americans assume the kitchen gadgets on their countertops are there to make life easier — not send them to the emergency room. That sense of trust just got shattered for thousands of Aldi customers across the country.
A kitchen staple that many families have relied on for years has just been exposed as a dangerous hazard.
Aldi and its Florida distributor, Tempo International, have just issued an urgent recall of approximately 46,660 Ambiano Electric Pressure Cookers after 11 severe burn injuries were reported.
According to federal regulators, the problem occurs when steam pressure forces the lid off during use — sending scalding hot food and liquid flying across kitchens, injuring anyone standing nearby.
