In a stunning and deeply troubling revelation, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has confirmed that U.S. federal agents are now being hunted by violent criminal networks—including cartels, gangs, and even foreign terrorist groups—that have allegedly placed bounties on their heads.
During an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend, Noem didn’t hold back. She warned that this is an “unprecedented” threat to America’s law enforcement officers. According to Noem, the United States is facing a new era of danger, as organized criminal groups become bolder and more coordinated in their attacks on those sworn to uphold the law.
Noem described a harrowing incident in Chicago over the weekend that showcased just how serious the situation has become. Federal officers reportedly came under attack while pursuing a violent suspect.
“They had followed them [the agents] and gotten them cornered, pinned them down, and then our agents, when getting out of their cars, they tried to run them over, and had semi-automatic handguns on them to where our agents had to protect themselves, and shots were fired, and an individual ended up in the hospital that was attacking these officers,” Noem explained, calling it a “very dangerous situation.”
