Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), Chairman of the House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight, unveiled a scathing second interim report on Tuesday. The report delves into the events surrounding the Capitol breach and exposes what it claims are significant failures—and unethical actions—by the now-disbanded January 6 Committee.
“This interim report reveals that there was not just one single cause for what happened at the U.S. Capitol on January 6; but it was a series of intelligence, security, and leadership failures at several levels and numerous entities,” Loudermilk stated.

Allegations of Witness Tampering by Liz Cheney
Among the report’s most damning allegations is the claim that Liz Cheney, former Vice Chair of the January 6 Committee, engaged in witness tampering. According to Loudermilk, Cheney allegedly “coached” the committee’s “star witness,” Cassidy Hutchinson, to change her testimony—without Hutchinson’s legal counsel present.
