After more than a decade away from the table, Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to The View and quickly reminded viewers why she was once the show’s most formidable conservative voice.

Within minutes of Monday’s discussion, the longtime ABC program turned to the escalating crisis in Iran and President Donald Trump’s controversial military strikes. What began as a familiar round of criticism from the show’s liberal hosts suddenly shifted when Hasselbeck calmly delivered a four-word response that cut straight through the conversation.
And it left Sunny Hostin scrambling.
Hostin Declares Trump’s Iran Strike “Illegal”
During the segment, Hostin leaned heavily on her legal background while criticizing Trump’s decision to launch joint U.S.–Israel strikes targeting Iran’s leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Hostin framed the operation as a clear constitutional violation.
“The bottom line is that this is an illegal war. This is an unconstitutional war. Only Congress can wage war,” she declared.
