Republicans pointed out a consistent pattern of misrepresentation. Democrats, they say, were “misrepresenting witness testimony, selectively leaking cherry-picked documents, and manipulating emails and images” to create “yet another politically motivated hoax targeting President Trump.”¹
The memo makes it clear: “Nothing Democrats post or leak on this matter can be taken at face value.”¹
But the GOP didn’t stop at Democrats. They also criticized the mainstream media for acting as willing accomplices. The memo instructs lawmakers to hold “Legacy Media” accountable for amplifying Democrat lies without performing even the most basic journalism.¹
According to Republicans, these outlets functioned more like propaganda machines than fact-checkers. The memo concluded that this combination of deception and media malpractice “undermines the Committee’s work, misleads the public, and distracts from the serious responsibility of ensuring accountability, transparency, and justice for the American people.”¹
Democrats Cherry-Pick Documents and Photos
What was meant to be a bipartisan investigation quickly turned into a partisan battle. Democrats recently released three emails they claim show Trump “knew about” Epstein’s criminal activities.
One email refers to Trump as “that dog that hasn’t barked,” which Democrats present as evidence of concealment. What they left out: those three emails were pulled from more than 20,000 pages of documents.
When CNN questioned why portions of the emails were redacted, Democrats falsely blamed Republicans for the edits. Republicans then released the full 20,000+ pages, proving the claim was untrue. Democrats later insisted the complete release was intended to “disorient” and “distract” from their narrative.¹
The photo releases were even more telling. Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-CA) shared 19 images of Trump with Epstein at social events decades ago—out of 95,000 photos obtained from Epstein’s estate.
Garcia said, “It is time to end this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends. These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world.”²
Republicans, however, accused Democrats of manipulating photos to make them appear suspicious. One image showed Trump at a modeling event next to adult Hawaiian Tropic models. Democrats redacted the women’s faces, making the scene appear sinister.
“Once again, Ranking Member Robert Garcia and Oversight Committee Democrats are cherry-picking photos and making targeted redactions to create a false narrative about President Trump,” said an Oversight Committee GOP spokesperson. “We received over 95,000 photos and Democrats released just a handful.”³
Key Witnesses Confirm Trump Did Nothing Wrong
Despite Democrat theatrics, the central fact remains: Donald Trump has never been accused of wrongdoing connected to Epstein. Trump and Epstein traveled in the same social circles in New York and Palm Beach decades ago but had a falling out before Epstein faced criminal allegations.
Former Attorney General William Barr, who oversaw the 2019 Epstein investigation, testified that prosecutors “found no evidence that President Trump committed wrongdoing.”
Garcia publicly claimed “Barr could not clear Trump of wrongdoing,” contradicting the former AG’s testimony. Former U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta also testified, and Chairman James Comer said Acosta’s testimony “confirmed there was no contact between President Trump and Mr. Acosta and no connection between President Trump and Epstein in the case.”⁴
The Trump administration faces a December 19 deadline to release Epstein files following near-unanimous congressional votes. But Democrats remain focused on manufacturing a scandal, not delivering justice for victims.
“Democrats must end their latest hoax and turn their attention to truly bring transparency and accountability for survivors,” Comer said.⁴
The GOP memo underscores what conservatives have long suspected: Democrats’ primary goal has never been Epstein’s victims. Their sole focus has been to take down Donald Trump.
