In just three sentences, James Comer conveyed a terrifying warning to FBI Director Christopher Wray.
The House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the Biden family’s alleged influence-peddling operation is being led by Rep. James Comer (R-KY).
A courageous whistleblower has revealed that the FBI is in possession of an explosive FD-1023 document that details a criminal bribe that former Vice President Joe Biden organized. The strategy entailed exchanging making policy choices for money from a foreign person.
The committee’s request for the FD-1023 form has been rebuffed by FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Wray is being penalized by the committee for disobeying the summons. He is now being charged with “contempt of Congress.”
“Today, the FBI informed the Committee that it will not provide the unclassified documents subpoenaed by the Committee,” Comer said. “The FBI’s decision to stiff-arm Congress and hide this information from the American people is obstructionist and unacceptable.”
Despite numerous extensions, the FBI misses the extended subpoena deadline and plays hardball with the committee.
In order to safeguard its sources, the FBI won’t distribute the form.

“The FBI committed to providing access to information responsive to the Committee’s subpoena in a format and setting that maintains confidentiality and protects important security interests and the integrity of FBI investigations,” an FBI spokesman said.
Comer made mention of “five million” and “June 30, 2020” in a letter to Wray.

Comer’s pursuit of contempt proceedings against Wray has the unwavering backing of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
He dismissed concerns about disclosing classified sources and discounted the likelihood that the FBI would make the paper public.
“If there’s a concern about methods or areas of how we get it, redact names so we don’t see that but you’ve got to show the document,” McCarthy said.
McCarthy supports pressing charges of contempt against Wray for disobeying the subpoena.
“If he does not act, he’s not above the law,” McCarthy said. “He’s not above Congress and we will hold him in contempt. Now I want to be very clear about that.”
If the Justice Department decides to press charges against Wray, he may be sentenced to prison and face severe fines.
