A well-known ESPN personality sharply rebukes the woke mob.

The leading American actress is Megan Rapino. The socially conscious Left has grown to love the Women’s National Soccer team.

Rapino, a dynamic and politically liberal individual, is not hesitant to state her opinions. She actively supports transgender women playing in women’s sports while taking a knee during the national anthem to show her support for diversity and gender equality.

Rapino won’t have to contend with biological guys for a squad slot as she will stop competing after the women’s World Cup.

Rapino lambasted Sage Steele, the former ESPN Sportscenter host, during an interview with TIME Magazine for her stance against permitting biological men to play women’s sports.

Rapino vehemently disagreed with the notion and bluntly rejected it as untrue. She claimed that it was just untrue for men to compete in women’s sports.

The transgender movement was wrongly accused of inciting violence by the soccer champion, who also erroneously blamed Steele and comedian Dave Chappelle.

The Sunday Countdown NFL pregame show anchor Samantha Ponder recently defended Steele on social media.

The idea that expressing one’s disagreement with someone else’s viewpoint constitutes instigating violence was challenged by Ponder as being excessive and a product of cancel culture.

“Sage says bio males shouldn’t compete in female sports and now she’s to blame for violence? This is an attempt to silence good-faith discussion and debate,” Ponder posted on social media. “Disagree passionately, say she’s wrong (& why) . . . but to claim she is responsible for violence is absurd.”

Steele expressed his gratitude to Ponder and thought back to a situation in which Ponder had been accused of discrimination by USA Today columnist Nancy Armour for his stance against men playing women’s sports.

“Yes Sam . . . it’s absurd. And predictable! This is what happens when ppl allow their emotions to get in the way of FACTS & SCIENCE. Esp when they’re fighting to keep a false narrative alive. You said it best after (USA Today columnist Nancy) Armour attacked you: ‘biology is not bigotry,’” Steele wrote.

Ponder’s social media outburst to Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines was questioned by Steele. Gaines had texted girls and their parents in California who were worried about biological guys participating in women’s sports but were afraid to say anything for fear of being branded as racists.

“It is not hateful to demand fairness in sports for girls,” Ponder said.

In response, Armour said that standing up for the values of science, biology, and fairness today carries the stigma of bigotry.

“Don’t be fooled by the people who screech about ‘fairness’ to cloak their bigotry toward transgender girls and women, the transgender girls and women who have the audacity to want to play sports, in particular,” Armour wrote. “. . . Ponder endangers these already in-peril people by further amplifying the bogeyman that cisgender women’s participation in sports is being threatened by transgender girls and young women.”

The good news is that truth is outlasting falsehood, as shown by a recent Gallup Poll that reveals 70% of Americans support only allowing people to participate in sports that correspond to the sex they were born as.
