A Texas nurse once praised for her heroism on the front lines of the pandemic is now at the center of a national firestorm. Crystal Tadlock, a 35-year-old award-winning ICU nurse, was abruptly terminated after a disturbing bodycam video revealed her threatening to let police officers “die” if they ever entered her hospital.
The incident unfolded late Saturday night in Magnolia, Texas, when officers pulled Tadlock over for speeding. According to authorities, she not only failed a field sobriety test but also made chilling threats that are now echoing across the country.
“A traffic stop was conducted on 1488. After an intoxication investigation, the female driver was arrested for DWI,” the Magnolia Police Department wrote in a public statement on Facebook.
The department didn’t hold back in describing the scene. “The female, who is a nurse, stated that if any of us came to her hospital, that she would make sure we died. Unfortunately we couldn’t charge her with not being a very nice person…”
