Wojcicki’s tenure as CEO of YouTube was marked by a series of controversial policies aimed at regulating speech on the platform. In April 2020, amid the global pandemic, Wojcicki made headlines when she announced YouTube’s strict measures against what she termed as “unacceptable speech” that contradicted the World Health Organization’s (WHO) narrative on COVID-19.
