A criminal history-holding Texan lady was taken into custody by police after she went on a destructive rampage at a man’s residence. Remarkably, when he refused to pay her two thousand dollars, she even poured detergent over his eyes. Their connection on a “sugar daddy” dating app was the beginning of it all.
Kaley Renae Medina, a 26-year-old career criminal, is charged with attacking a 61-year-old man at his San Antonio residence. After meeting on the Seeking dating app, the two went on a dinner date, which is when the event happened. Young ladies use the app Seeking to connect with older, wealthy guys for companionship.
“You don’t know who you’re hooking up with,” At a news conference, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar informed reporters.
“This person is clearly someone who’s dangerous.”
The victim reportedly told police that they continued messaging each other during the meal and that there were no odd occurrences. The victim did, however, add that they had no plans to see the offending individual again.
“What it appears to be is one of these — for lack of a better term — ‘sugar daddy’-type sites where people with money meet up with younger people that need money. And make some sort of an arrangement to date or what have you,” Salazar said.
In the incident, 26-year-old Kaley Renae Medina was accused of robbery.
Despite Medina’s surprise appearance at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a guy let her inside his home in the early hours of the morning.
A glass of wine turned into an unexpected chat in an unexpected turn of events. He was surprised when she asked for $2,000 out of the blue. Unable to comply, he clarified his financial constraints, which sparked her intense outburst, according to police reports.
Enraged, she unleashed a fury that destroyed his entertainment system, artwork, flat-screen TV, and several walls.
According to the police, after he begged Medina to stop destroying his house, she retaliated by covering his head with laundry detergent, severely burning his eyes and briefly blinding him.
Police said that woman quickly robbed him, stealing his passport, iPhone, security camera, and even a hair dryer before fleeing.
The victim, hurt and in a desperate state, struggled to free themselves and called out for help. When the police arrived, he was taken quickly to a local hospital, with wounds hurting his legs and chemical burns burning his eyes.
Salazar’s familiarity with Medina made it easy for him to capture him.
