Tapper brought up a statistic from the Department of Agriculture, stating, “Between 2020 and 2022, 42% of crop workers were undocumented immigrants and in many cases, as you know, do the jobs many Americans do not want to do.” He then asked how Trump’s aggressive deportation efforts wouldn’t lead to higher grocery prices, potentially hurting Americans who support border security but also want affordable food.
Miller didn’t hesitate to dismantle the argument.
“Well, I mean, I’m sure it’s not your position, Jake. You’re just asking the question that we should supply America’s food with exploitative, illegal alien labor,” Miller responded, flipping the script on Tapper’s premise.
“I obviously don’t think that’s what you’re implying,” Miller continued, before delivering a reality check. “Only 1% of alien workers in the entire country work in agriculture. The top destination for illegal aliens are large cities like New York, like Los Angeles, and small industrial towns, of course, all across the heartland as we’ve seen with the Biden influx.”
Miller wasn’t finished. He exposed the falsehood that illegal immigrants are primarily working in farms, stating, “None of those illegal aliens are doing farm work.”
Tapper, clearly rattled, attempted to cut Miller off, but Miller pressed forward.
“The illegal aliens that Joe Biden brought into our country are not full stop doing farm work. They are not the illegal aliens he brought in from Venezuela, from Haiti, from Nicaragua. They are not doing farm work. They are in our cities collecting welfare,” Miller explained, delivering yet another blow to the media’s misleading narrative.
Miller then outlined President Trump’s solution for farmers, a point that Tapper conveniently ignored. “As for the farmers, there is a guest worker program that President Trump supports. Over time as well, we will transition to automation so we will never have to have this conversation ever again.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, has made it clear that this is only the beginning. He has vowed to ramp up deportations even further, ensuring that America’s immigration laws are actually enforced for the first time in years.

The bottom line? The left’s tired talking points about illegal immigration simply don’t hold up when confronted with facts. Stephen Miller schooled Jake Tapper, exposing the flaws in the liberal argument and reinforcing the Trump administration’s commitment to securing the border.
America is taking back control, and the results speak for themselves.
