California has decided to revoke his concealed carry permit for the time being.
“LA criminals came to my home, pointing guns at my chest. After successfully defending my home, and my family, and my five-month-old child, California has now decided to suspend my Second Amendment,” Ricci mentioned in an NRA-posted video.
“Vince Ricci was coming back to his LA home on a quiet evening when two robbers jumped his wall and pointed guns at his chest. But they weren’t ready for what was about to happen. He had a gun of his own and defended himself. Now, California is suspending his Second Amendment,” the NRA wrote.

Ricci’s permit to carry concealed weapons was canceled following an altercation with the authorities.

The photo studio CEO, who is also an entrepreneur, told Fox News that he received a call from the sheriff’s office on Thursday, alleging that he had screamed at police.
He had previously chastised the LAPD for their negligent enforcement of the law, particularly for their refusal to gather casings in the vicinity of his residence for use as evidence.

In contrast to other states, obtaining a concealed carry permit in California is more difficult, according to Ricci in an interview with Fox News Digital. He revealed that it took him several months to finish the entire procedure.
“Ricci said that his home has previously been targeted by criminals, including in June when burglars broke into his residence and that his car was broken into a few months before the June robbery,” Fox News reports.

Ricci has reported several home invasions by a gang of criminals in his neighborhood. Before the gunfight, he said the group had recently targeted his neighbor and was operating a Dodge Charger without a license plate.
The homeowner credits their survival to having a firearm, saying it was essential in keeping their family safe from impending harm.
“It saved our lives,” he said. “I’m a tough guy … but there’s only so much I could do against a gun. They would have pistol-whipped me, they would have pistol-whipped my wife. They would have come in the house and there’s nothing in my house.”
He and his wife felt that if there hadn’t been a gun in the house, the suspects would have entered, found nothing valuable to steal, and possibly hurt the small family.
The speaker draws attention to the possibility of unfair treatment of lawful gun owners in a liberal city, where they might be treated with discredit rather than an arrest and conviction for trespassing.
“I know I didn’t do anything wrong, because I had two chances I could have shot both kids in the back. I chose not to do it. But in the video, it looks like ‘oh, they were running away.’ They weren’t running. They were firing back at me,” he said.
He was disappointed in the LAPD for handling his report carelessly, especially not gathering the shell casings that were discovered near his house.
“I almost couldn’t believe it, the sloppy police work they did. There’s a couple of them that care … There’s a handful of real cops, and then there’s the rest of them,” he said.
