In just two years, the Biden administration spent a staggering $20 billion on refugee resettlement.
A report published by Open the Books claims that since October 2022, the Biden administration has provided a sizable sum of public money to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
According to the report, which was released on Tuesday, the Biden administration spent $8.925 billion in fiscal year 2022 and $10.928 billion in fiscal year 2023 on the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at ORR to house, transport, and offer migrants various other services like medical care and loans. According to The New York Times, ORR’s purported mishandling of cases involving unaccompanied migrant children has put HHS under fire in recent months. Some of these children were released to sponsors who did not thoroughly screen them, using them as child labor.
During the Biden administration, the number of illegal immigrants entering the country illegally has increased to an all-time high.
