Tensions ran high Sunday at former President Donald Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, after shots rang out while Trump was on the course. The former president was enjoying a round of golf with his friend and real estate investor, Steve Witkoff, when the incident occurred.
According to reports, the Secret Service quickly sprang into action, identifying the direction from which the shots were fired and immediately returning fire at the suspect. The gunman, who reportedly had targeted Trump, fled the scene. Despite the chaos, Trump and all those on the course remained unharmed.

An official update from the Secret Service confirmed, “The Secret Service identified the direction of the shots and returned fire at that gunman, who fled.”
The suspect managed to escape the scene in a black vehicle, but the chase was short-lived. Law enforcement officials arrested the individual in Martin County, where the suspect’s vehicle was impounded. Although the details surrounding the gunman’s motives remain under investigation, officials believe this was a targeted attack on the former president.
