Comedian Bill Maher has never been one to play by the rules of the liberal elite, and his latest clash with Hollywood’s far-left darling Sean Penn just proved that again in spectacular fashion.
During a fiery episode of Maher’s Club Random podcast, Penn—known for cozying up to some of the most oppressive regimes in the world—found himself struggling to explain why he’d break bread with dictators but wouldn’t sit down with the President of the United States.
It all kicked off when Penn took issue with Maher’s recent dinner meeting with former President Donald Trump, a get-together that’s been driving the Left into an all-out meltdown.
Ironically, Penn acknowledged that Maher probably made the right decision in agreeing to meet with Trump, saying, “this is the president of the United States, whether we like it or not.”
But just moments later, the actor exposed his own double standard. Penn bluntly declared he’d refuse a White House invite himself, claiming, “It’s a long flight.”
