Rising NFL Star Won’t Back Down on Trump Hate

The New York Giants expected their top draft picks to create headlines on Sundays.

Instead, two of the franchise’s most important young players found themselves at the center of a political controversy before the regular season has even begun.

What started as a brief appearance by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart at a public event featuring President Donald Trump quickly turned into a heated national debate after fellow Giants rookie Abdul Carter openly criticized his teammate’s decision.

The controversy began when Dart, selected by the Giants in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, appeared at a New York event where he introduced President Trump.

Standing before the crowd, Dart offered a friendly welcome to the president.

“I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States America, President Donald J. Trump,” Dart said.
