The disturbing finding of a pipe bomb outside the DNC headquarters on January 5, 2021, just prior to the demonstrations against election certification, is documented in recently released video. Remarkably, despite the seriousness of the situation, the video shows a very carefree reaction from Secret Service and D.C. Metro Police officers.

A guy approaching a D.C. Metro Police SUV with a bag may be seen at about minute 1:05 in the video. He alerts them right away to the existence of a pipe bomb that was found next to a bench outside the building. This person has been recognized as a plainclothes Capitol Police officer, according to journalist Steve Baker of Blaze Media.
Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was in the DNC building when the device was discovered, and she was escorted by a black Secret Service SUV and a D.C. Metro Police SUV.
“After being informed of a pipe bomb feet away, the metro PD authorities (who are technically on the secret service detail) take over a minute before they even bother getting out of their car!” Beattie noted on X.
Subsequently, despite the recent discovery of a purported device, both Secret Service and D.C. Metro Police officers were observed casually standing around. “There’s absolutely zero concern for their own safety, or that of their protectee—VP Kamala Harris,” Beattie wrote.
The pedestrians were not stopped by the cops.
At last, the pipe bomb’s precise location, pinpointed by the seats, was noticed by a watchful Capitol Police officer monitoring the cameras.
Beattie observed that, considering the wind that day, he thought it was quite strange that there was a coffee cup on the seat directly next to the pipe bomb. “January 6 was a very windy day and its unlikely an empty coffee cup would have lasted on that bench for long before getting blown away. Someone had been sitting there recently…perhaps the plainclothes officer?” he wrote.

Revolver News did a thorough study and found various problems with the FBI’s publicly released film. The incredibly low framerate—which seldom surpasses one frame per second—was one of the main causes for worry. To put this into perspective, high-quality CCTV cameras may capture between 30 and 60 frames per second, but the typical gas station CCTV camera operates at about 15 frames per second.
A 2021 research found that every security camera in use in the US operates at a minimum frame rate of five frames per second (FPS).
A group of kids can be seen strolling by the scene in other parts of the newly released video, and law enforcement officials are still acting indifferently and without haste. “Either these secret service agents were utterly concerned with the life of their protectee Kamala Harris, the lives of the children, and their own lives, or they somehow knew the pipe bomb was a DUD,” Beattie posted something on X.
A moment later, a policeman walks right up to the camera, snaps a picture, and gives it a “thumbs up” in acknowledgment.
