Video of the confrontation shows the firefighter directing his anger toward a demonstrator who appeared in an Elmo costume with a Palestinian flag draped across his back.
The unusual sight came as New Yorkers, first responders and families of those killed in the September 11 terrorist attacks gathered to remember the thousands of Americans who lost their lives 25 years ago.
