Prince Andrew’s Birthday Turns Into Nightmare

Just after 8 a.m., a convoy of unmarked vehicles arrived at a cottage on the Sandringham estate. Inside was Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, once known to the world as Prince Andrew, the late Queen Elizabeth II’s second son and a former UK trade envoy. By midday, the 66-year-old royal had been taken into custody for questioning.

The arrest marks an extraordinary turn in a saga long tied to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. But this time, the issue is not photographs, social connections, or civil settlements. It is classified government material.

DOJ Emails Ignite Firestorm

According to newly released emails from the U.S. Department of Justice, Andrew allegedly forwarded sensitive British government documents to Epstein in 2010 while serving as the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the former royal was detained on suspicion of misconduct in public office, a grave charge under UK law that can carry a life sentence.
