A Memphis restaurant is drawing widespread criticism after its owner openly admitted that he refused to serve four uniformed members of the Tennessee National Guard—and made it clear he has no intention of apologizing.
According to local reports, four members of the Memphis Safe Task Force stopped by Tamboli’s Pizza & Pasta in Midtown Memphis on Saturday evening, hoping to grab a meal while still in uniform. Instead, they were turned away.
Restaurant owner Miles Tamboli later confirmed the decision in a public statement, saying he stood firmly behind refusing service to the Guardsmen.
