Philly Sheriff Threatens to ARREST Federal Agents

Philadelphia’s already strained relationship with federal immigration authorities took a shocking turn this week after Rochelle Bilal, the city’s embattled sheriff, publicly lashed out at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and openly threatened federal agents with arrest if they operate inside the city.

Standing beside progressive city officials, Bilal delivered a fiery and unprecedented speech that many critics are calling a direct challenge to federal authority. Her remarks appeared carefully aligned with the city’s radical political leadership, particularly Larry Krasner, whose policies have long drawn national criticism for prioritizing criminal suspects over public safety.

At the start of her comments, Bilal repeatedly invoked the name of Renee Good, framing the event as a moral stand rather than a legal one. She then launched into a blistering attack on ICE itself, dismissing the agency as illegitimate and accusing federal officers of operating like criminals.

“This should not have happened, but we’re here today to let you know that law enforcement professionals—real ones, not the fake, made-up ICE, probably Trump’s new army to attack citizens of the United States—did you hear what I said?” Bilal declared.
