Paul Pelosi In Hot Water Again

At his preliminary hearing on Wednesday, David DePape’s participation in a violent incident was revealed by disturbing evidence. The severity of Paul Pelosi’s assault was revealed by audio recordings and bodycam video, which left many people to wonder what could have precipitated such anger.

In pursuit of Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker, someone broke into her San Francisco residence in October. Reports suggest that it was not a pleasant visit, despite the fact that their specific intentions are still unclear.

“[DePape] told officers and medics at the scene — “I’m sick of the insane f…ing level of lies coming out of Washington, D.C. I came here to have a little chat with his wife. I didn’t really want to hurt him, but you know this was a suicide mission. I’m not going to stand here and do nothing even if it cost me my life.”” CBS reported.

As DePape reportedly attacked Paul Pelosi with a byewitting hammer strike, tensions reached a violent conclusion.

According to NBC’s Bigad Shaban, despite not being able to watch the bodycam film himself, the SFPD officer testifying in court was given an immersive experience of it owing to its setting. He supplied a thorough screenplay that gave attendees a realistic depiction of what happened as it happened.

“Court just played police body camera video night of Pelosi attack. The tv monitor is facing the SFPD officer on the stand, so most of us in court couldn’t see the video, but could hear audio,” Shaban provided a Twitter report.

Below is the bodycam video’s transcript:

According to CBS News:

Prosecutors gave a terrifying account of the assault on Paul Pelosi during the preliminary hearing on Wednesday. The account was put together using 911 audio, police body cam video, and the sworn testimony of the investigators.

DePape, dressed in an orange jumpsuit, sat at the defense table in the crowded courtroom. Christine Pelosi, one of several adult members of The Pelosis family, was a spectator among the audience.

The audience was quickly riveted by the prosecution’s startling audio presentation of Paul Pelosi’s emergency call to the San Francisco police.

Officer Kyle Cagney, who was on the witness stand for the SFPD, gave a gripping narrative of his run-in with the detained suspect DePape. He increased the gravity of his argument by presenting supporting documentation in court, including a hammer that had been dug out of a sizable bag and testimony about how it had been used quickly during their encounter.

Together with Superior Court Judge Stephen Murphy, Cagney go into the depths of police body camera footage to examine crucial evidence.

“When officers arrived on scene, they encountered an adult male and Mrs. Pelosi’s husband, Paul,” SFPD Chief Bill Scott told reporters. “Our officers observed Mr. Pelosi and the suspect both holding a hammer. The suspect pulled the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it.”

“Our officers immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody, requested emergency backup and rendered medical aid,” he added.

DePape was apprehended while attempting a civil disobedience and was found with a hammer and zip ties that he intended to use to kidnap Nancy Pelosi.

He is accused of breaking a glass of one of the house’s back doors to get inside.
